Unreasonably slow service, waited 30 minutes for breakfast on the first day and had to leave after eating nothing, no Wireless in the rooms (despite being assured it was working) Very noisy environment (doors not damped so v loud, lots of noise form upstairs rooms etc)
Our Room room was loveley, very relaxing, which was a blessing, I had come to Preston to intern my father at Preston cemetry, and to visit family. The staff were very warm and welcoming we would definitley stay again we would liked to have had dinner, but the restaurant was closed, We could understand why,,it didnt cause us a big problem, we would have been happy to spend the whole evening at the hotel it was so nice.
We had a loveley time the 2 nights we stayed. However we felt a very very small dissapointment with the electric shower. we felt it could do with an upgrade the water flow was very small and slow.
Quiet surroundings, comfortable bed, choice of bath and shower. Good supply of instant drink sachets and decent size tea cups.
Quite small room - rather compact size. Chairs for working, not relaxing.
I liked the friendly and helpfull attitude of the hotel staff - and the flexibility of meal times.
This Hotel is far from Preston station by walk. But the surrounding is very beautiful. The room is clean. The stuffs had shown a great deal of hospitality. Thank you very much.
We enjoyed the friendly welcome by the reception staff and very much appreciated the overall ambience of the stylish and comfortable hotel atmosphere. It met all our expectations for a peaceful and quality weekend.
There was nothing to dislike
Friendly staff, great room - perfect place!
The staff are brilliant, the room and bathroom modern, clean and comfortable. I stayed in the new annexe but had breakfast in the main hotel. Food was good, well presented and nothing was too much trouble. I would have no hesitation in recommending.
Friendly staff. Interior of the room was nice.
The room was cold and we had little control of the heating - there are set times that it comes on. The room was most expensive in the hotel, yet it was located in a new extension which had a view of a tiny yard containing the hotel bins. A terrible view, which made it feel claustrophobic. Also the entrance to the room was right next to a toilet. These factors made it feel like a cheap room and poor value for money.
Excellent personal service. A lovely old hotel with original features and a homely feel. I would stay there again.
I was roomed in the new extension and the sound insulation between rooms could be better. - I hope my snoring for my neighbour kept him awake as much as his night trips to the toilet and his coughing and barking woke me up!
Having been born in Preston it brought back a lot of memories -- I went to the school opposite ! Always wanted to know what was behind the imposing closed doors and was very pleasantly surprised. Lovely friendly feel to the place and all the staff ( including the Bosses ) were very helpful and we enjoyed our brief stay. Thank you .
I had a reasonable size room, but the bathroom was rather small. Carpark is good size. No good eating places nearby, I have not tried the restaurant. Breakfast was ok.
I would not stay again, price is relatively high for what you get.
The friendly staff plus great value for money
When you take into account free Wi-Fi, an excellent included breakfast and free parking, this works out as a similar price to so-called budget hotels. Add in the excellence of the food (we had dinner once and nbreakfast twice - but this is our second stay here so we have previous experience too) and the friendliness of the staff and this is good value. Will come back here as first choice in Preston.
fantastic food, really well looked after by the staff and room comfortable nothing was too much trouble for the staff, the room was on the ground floor as requeted vfery nice place to stay
